‘The Great Resignation’ is really the great priority shift. Due to the pandemic, people being forced to stay and work from home have re-assessed the priorities and their lifestyles.
For some, it maybe to start their own business or stay home with the family.
Being forced to stay home, families have had time to re-assess their situation and plan their future. Having to do more from home, such as work, shopping, meeting friends and family online etc., they have seen what can be done in the digital economy.
A lot of people have used the time away from the workplace wisely. Gaining new skills to grow their future prospects.
A lot of companies are having to change their work policies to allow people to work remotely in order to retain talent. People like working from home and want to continue this way of working in future.
The technology that allows for remote working and virtual events, has shown itself as a major factor in allowing us to continue our lives during the pandemic.
And technology has the possibilities of creating new ways of working and earning a living. Allowing people to re-assess their priorities.
